Your son-in-law and grandchild. Yes? Your Schlime [this might be a
joke - schlimme = bad, or a nickname or even a name] daughter. The German
spelling here is often not quite right and phonetic, the author uses 'ei' when
it should be 'eu', ei instead of eu is used in spoken language in some dialects.
1966 July 2 After landing at airport ORD. Rudolf and Marta Elbl on the

After the arrival at O'Hare Airport in Chicago on 2 July 1966, after
going through Passport Control and Customs, on the way to get cars for the
75-mile trip to Racine, Wisconsin. In the background on the right is
International Flights Terminal. People [in the photo] from the left: Rudolf
Elbe, Elisabeth Kreutz, Martha Elbe, Amy (?) Köhi, Jo-Ann Köhl, Josef Köhl.
"A remembrance/memory from me and my sons. Keep me dear." There are some
errors in grammatic and spelling. I suppose the woman was not german.

Christmas evening ( 24th of Dec in Germany ) in the Lunchroom in the
"Deutsches Haus". Normally we sit with 4 persons at one table. Now I don't
longer sit with women at the table. Mayer Richard is a name. St. Blasius is a
famous place in the Black Forest.

by her belt, she´s in our house with us. She fled from Sudetenland. Miss Truwe
in / from Cologne, until Christmas I was there each day, with Höhn(?) and (?)
Schöchlin(?) at the table. Wobbermin Hannover I have no clue if Höhn and
Schöchlin are friends of him, also never heard Wobbermin.
Gerda poured us wine on the street, that she brought with her and a carnation.
Buoyed me up then she took the second picture.

Family on 12 July 1966. Temperature on this day 90 degrees.
In remembrance of the 50th birthday of Maria K/H de G/Jettmann with children
and gran children on the 6th Nov 1948. Many greetings from your sister and
brother in law Marizi? & Anton G/Jettmann. One can recognise us well in the
picture or not. Box = received on the 4th January 1949.

In the house where I live after the Christmas party in the German house we
celebrated further.
